Col Du Coq 2024 DH Longboarding French Championship & Euro Tour: Results
For the third consecutive year, the association La Familia, led by its president Baudouin Montfort, organized the French Downhill Championship on the road to Col du Coq (Isère). New this year, the competition has become a round of the European Championship (the Euro tour is reborn after a five-year absence!).
The competition took place over 3 days from July 5 to 7, and included various downhill sports: Longboarding, Street Luge, & Roller Skating.
After a first day of training under the sun, the conditions will significantly change on Saturday for the time trials and the French championship.
The timed runs take place in the morning, under heavy rain and on a completely drenched road. It's difficult to control one's trajectories and braking in such conditions. In this game, among the longboarders, it is the young Parisian skater Andreas Bouclier who takes the lead with more than a one-second advantage over the second rider Adrien Paynel. Overall, it is the skater Valentin Bataille who achieves the best time.
French Championship:
On Saturday afternoon, on an always wet road, the French Championship boarders (reserved for French riders) take place. The principle is simple: four riders start, the first two move on to the next round,... The level of skating is exceptionally high, as France currently boasts the largest number of top athletes
In longboarding, Yanis Markarian achieves the feat of a 5th title, demonstrating constant domination of the championship (except for 2023, where he finished 3rd) over the past 10 years, and an unmatched record. Parisians Andreas Bouclier and Antoine Carlotti complete the podium.

Europeant championship Stage 2 (International ranking)

The athletes came from various countries to compete for a European title: France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Czech Republic, Germany, Australia, USA.
