Downhill skateboarding French Championship 2022: First stage
From May 20th to 22nd, the first round of the 2022 French downhill championship took place, organized at the Col du Coq by the La Familia 38 association. Race bringing together the Longboard, Streetluge and Roller inline disciplines.
Resumption of the championship after 3 blank years. 70 riders from all over France and more (USA, New Zealand, Switzerland) were present to score points for the 2022 title and a possible qualification for the World Roller Games which will take place in the fall in Argentina.
For this resumption of competitions, we were able to witness an exceptional level of riding, with a fierce fight for the title. Some big names in longboarding were present: Tristan Cardillo, Yanis Markarian, Patrick Switzer,...
The qualifying format was based on points generated by timed runs and a 4-man runs game. We then attended the final phases on the usual boarder format (start at 4, the first 2 pass the next round, etc...)
In the French skate category, Yanis Markarian takes the lead in the rankings and keeps his favorite status for the 2022 season. 4th consecutive victory in the French championship for Yanis!
