What is the best brand of surfskates?
It's hard to find your way around the range of products on offer surfskate. One question often comes up: What's the best surf brand? skateboard? The answer is subjective, but it's certain that depending on the use and the feeling you're looking for, certain brands stand out from the crowd...
The brand that's most faithful to the feel of surfing on the water:
The Yow Meraki system from the Spanish brand is most likely to give you the impression of riding on the water. The truck articulated front with a vertically positioned spring is surprisingly easy to pump and accelerate. The Yow Meraki isn't very stable when you're pushing off with your foot, but it's great fun as soon as the deck is in motion. Tested in our skateshop, the Yow Meraki is often the favourite of our testers.
In the same spirit, beginners and/or budget-conscious skaters will appreciate the Long Island Genesis Surfskates. The feel is similar to that of the Yow Meraki, but with a less assertive character.

The most versatile surfskate for beginners
The Aussie-Spanish brand Slide will win you over with its ease of use and versatility. Riders who want to mix flat riding, pumping, pumptrack and bowl love it. The value for money is exceptional, and even experienced surf skaters will find what they're looking for.

Surfskate for pump track
Although most surfskates are suitable for pumptrack riding, we've chosen to focus on those deck Carver equipped with trucks CX. We love the agility with which it handles turns (and even corrects trajectories). In the straights, the Carver CX stays on course without too much wobble, and if you need to, you can undulate to pump up and regain speed.

Surfskate for tricks and the bowl
When it comes to tricks, limited ground clearance means you can slam ollies with greater reactivity. That's where the Carver C5 stands out, bridging the gap between skateboard and skateboard classic. They're still very agile and easy to pump.

Surfskate longboard spirit
The beach promenade is beckoning, and like a Californian surfer, you'll let yourself be carried away by the pleasure of smooth curves. With or without a paddle stick, Hamboards is a concentrate of longboard spirit, with deckslong but agile and manoeuvrable. With the decks Hamboards, you'll be able to cruise around on your deck and perform tricks such as cross steps and nose riding.

Can't decide between surfskate and cruiser?
Halfway between surfskate and cruiser, the Legasee-equipped Yow is perfect for short urban rides. More stable when you're pushing off, it's also very playful when it comes to sneaking up on you.
As you can see, depending on your use, certain brands and systems will suit you better than others. Don't hesitate to come and see us in our shop in Fontanil Cornillon (Isère, 10Km from Grenoble) where you'll be able to try out surfboards from Yow, Carver, Slide, Long Island, etc. and make up your own mind.
