1979 Alva skate reissue featuring a purple Alva logo on a black and silver-grey leopard print background. Made in the USA. This 1979 Alva significantly shaped the history of 1970s skateboarding. Tony Alva is a skateboarding pioneer, the first world champion in the discipline, and an original member of the legendary Z-Boys (Zephyr Boys) team. It was one of the first wide decks designed for skating empty swimming pools (bowls), introducing a whole new way of approaching skateboarding (formerly known as “planche à roulettes”). Deck size: 10" x 30" with kicktail. Wheelbase: 16". Includes grip tape with cut-out logo.
