Santa Cruz Hosoi Irie Eye 9.95" Skateboard Deck

Santa Cruz reissue, marking the 50th anniversary of the company. On this occasion, the oldest operating skateboard manufacturer is reediting the Christian Hosoi 'Irie Eye' pro model for the very first time. This old school shaped board features a medium SC-412 type concave, kicktail, and slightly raised nose. Dimensions are 9.95" x 29.59", with a wheelbase of 14.56". It boasts a 7-ply maple construction bonded with epoxy for enhanced pop and durability. The board is stamped with the 50th-anniversary logo on the top (near the front truck). Black Jessup grip included (Applied upon request).

How to set your Santa Cruz Hosoi?

We recommend using standard geometry trucks with a width of 169mm, such as the Independent Stage XI 169mm.

For wheels, a diameter of 56 to 60mm would be ideal. The hardness will depend on what you aim to do. For cruising, softer wheels like the Slime Balls OG 60mm 78A would be perfect. For street and/or bowl use, harder wheels like the Powell Peralta Rat Bones II 58mm DF-93 or Bones 58mm x-Formula will provide the best results.

For wheels larger than 56mm in diameter, consider using 1/4" riser pads to avoid wheelbite
