Pantheon Ember V2 32.75" Yggdrasil Complete Longboard

Pantheon named this board the Ember for a reason. The all-too-typical longboarder story goes a little something like this: “I used to skate as a kid, and then I stopped for a while. Now I’m getting the itch again, and I came in to purchase a longboard since I’m getting older and I don’t take falls like I used to.” Well, Jeff-like future longboarders, does Pantheon have the board for you! The Ember is the flame that once was, waiting to be reignited into a burning fire if only given the love and attention it needs.

Pack description

Pantheon named this board the Ember for a reason. The all-too-typical longboarder story goes a little something like this (and we’re not singling anyone out here, for this is Pantheon’s founder Jeff’s story as well): “I used to skate as a kid, and then I stopped for a while.

New Changes to the Ember V2!

· Epoxy Lamination – Pantheon has chosen to lay up the new Ember with epoxy. This makes it significantly more weather and warp proof!

· Better Lamination – The first Ember was great. The new Ember is better. Tighter tolerances and single-up pressing make this deck even more durable.

· Laser Cut Grip Applied! – Pre-applied laser cut grip tape gives you a super sexy look. We picked that papery-style grip that feels best for cruising.

The Ember is the street-skater’s commuter deck. We designed it specifically around 149mm street trucks. Slap some Indys on it and some big ass wheels and you are ready to go! We actually prefer this board with Paris Street 149mm, though you are welcome to use any street truck you want. Paris just have THAT FEEL, and this isn’t any favoritism being played here for any reason other than that we tested everything on them, and those are the trucks that we can push the hardest while feeling balanced and turn the best off of one foot, which is imperative for a true commuter board. If you can’t steer the thing, you can’t dodge baby strollers, and you don’t want to hit babies. That’s not really setting a good precedent for skateboarding, is it? We love skateboarding. Don’t hit the babies.

The Ember is tiny. Any skater who can skate a street deck will be very familiar with the stance. There’s plenty of space you need, and nothing extra. Eight plies of Canadian maple hold this sucker together, and for 2018, we have chosen to laminate the deck using epoxy! This should help increase weather resistance and the longevity of your deck. It also comes gripped with laser cut griptape. We are super stoked with how this came out!

We’ve dropped the platform low with a 3/4-inch crescent drop and 1/4 of rocker between the drops. It is the perfect commuter. Easy to push, easy to footbrake, easy to slide, nimble, lightweight, supports huge wheels and thin trucks, which keeps you from kicking the wheels and smashing your face. Though the deck is small, it is nearly ALL platform. Because the deck is specifically designed around street trucks, you get to stand next to the wheels, where you have the most control and leverage. No other commuter board is made this way.

We have been riding ours with 80mm Orangatang Kegels, but you can fit 85mm Speed Vents on it no problem, and 78mm BlastWaves are a great choice as well. Our personal preference tends toward Kegels and BlastWaves, as both wheels feel really great to slide, but Speed Vents are huge and will roll over anything and seem to be a favorite among many of you out there!

The Ember sets up as a complete that is reasonably priced and extremely purposed. It’s not just a longboard because longboards are cool, or because we thought we could sell you on “cool,” ya kook! It’s a longboard meant to take you where you want to go, whether you’re a beginning skater, an old former skate rat looking to get back on a board, or an experienced veteran looking to cover a hundred miles at a time. It just makes sense.

We are offering this board with multiple graphic options. We believe wholeheartedly that this board belongs in every skateboarder’s quiver, and we want you to love it. Pick your graphic and flaunt it.

Zealous Bearings. Precision 8mm axle holes .409" built in spacers 1mm built in speedrings Green rubber seals to keep dirt and debris on the outside of the bearing. Lubed with Archoil Nanoceramic Grease

-The unique feature of our lubricant is how the nanoceramic compound fills in deformations or asperities in the bearing. These deformations cause friction and heat around them which hardens the nano-ceramic compound to that specific area. This micro coating is 5 times the hardness of the host alloy and has a molecular bond with the host metal, filling in all the asperities and eliminating friction over time.

-The coefficient of friction is the lowest in the field of Tribology at 0.003% creating a near frictionless surface. Mainly because the nanoceramic compound eliminates all asperities.

-Extremely low water washout

-Corrosion on the inside of the bearing is nearly eliminated

Offset bearing seat, dual lip design.
7.1 oz. each. Sold in sets of FOUR wheels.

The 85mm by 52mm Seismic Speed Vent is molded around the proprietary weight-saving Energy Conversion (EC) hub – possibly the raciest, sexiest hub on the market. The 85mm diameter gives it the roll speed of a downhill wheel, while the weight-saving hub adds the quickness and agility of a smaller wheel, as well as enhanced rebound. Combined with lips designed for pure grip, the Speed Vent is utterly unique among high-end wheels. Breakthrough performance for longboarding, downhill, GS, LDP, and even Hybrid slalom.
