<p>Hailing from Denmark, in 1989, Nicky joined Powell Peralta. His graphic was drawn by Sean Cliver, inspired from a book on Polynesian art. "Hard Rock Maple" trees grow in the arctic freeze zones of the planet, so with temperatures like that, you know these boards are stiff. Great wood at a great price for any type of skater. <p>Powell Peralta Geegah Ripper 9.75" x 30" Maroon Reissue Skateboard Deck. In 1986 jump ramps were all the rage. Unfortunately, decks were snapping left and right. Powell-Peralta deck returns were so high the company sought ways to make decks stronger and more resistant to jump breaks. One solution was Bonite construction. Another was the "Gee-Gaw" shape which had bumps to reinforce the break zone area. This shape was originally produced between 1987 and 1988. Single pressed with 7 ply US maple and premium glue.
