Review: Impala Roller skates
Spotlight on the Impala rollerskates. All on the horizon are these 4-wheels roller skates with a retro vintage look.
Impala is an Australian women's brand specializing in urban rollin sports (Skateboard, Roller skate & inline skates).
The roller skate collection is made up of a model available in a multitude of colors and patterns. Impala skates are aimed at a wide audience of beginners and intermediate levels and meet the main expectations for cruising, artistic practice, and roller disco.
The skate consists of a high-top shoe in 100% vegan synthetic leather. The ankle benefits from solid support to limit the risk of injury. The inside of the boot is lined with a comfortable foam lining.
The heeled PVC sole allows the body to be placed forward, which facilitates certain dance figures.
Impala roller skates are mounted on a cast aluminum frame with aluminum trucks. This makes it possible to maintain a certain rigidity and reactivity. The brake is a fixed bell type stopper(can be replaced if worn) with 5/16” stem imperial thread.
The Impala adopt 57mm diameter wheels for a hardness of 82A (medium soft) which perform on most surfaces, whether indoors or outdoors. Impala wheels are suitable for dance, roller disco, and cruising.
In bearings; we have Abec 7 of intermediate quality. Sufficient for beginners and for occasional practice.
In conclusion, Impala roller skates are an interesting choice for women beginners. Very good value for money. The Impalas meet the main expectations for cruising, artistic and roller disco use. If you plan on long rides, we recommend upgrading your build to bigger, softer wheels (e.g. Clouds Quantum 62) which will be more comfortable and require less effort to maintain your speed.
